IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO

If you host a feral cat colony on your property, PAWS will help you trap and take them to a vet for neutering, at no cost to you.

A local veterinarian (thank you Tsawwassen Animal Hospital) donates the surgery and basic vaccines, from a fund for animal care in the community.

The only proviso is that the cat be returned to their home colony – in other words, to their family.
(Note though that kittens are a special case; we can often rehome them after socialization.)

If you plan to continue as a “caretaker” for the colony, PAWS will assist you with food for the cats and ongoing veterinary care.

This process – called TNR: Trap, Neuter, Return – humanely reduces, over time, the number of unwanted cats subject to predation, hunger, disease, injury, and death.

IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

Please see the attached information, courtesy of Alley Cat Allies on why TNR makes sense in a community like ours.
